Editor's review
Being extremely comfortable in a single position for sometime makes us averse to any kind of change; especially when the change requires us to make some efforts and needs a shift. In this reluctance we often reject better prospects coming our way. Most of us have an official e-mail client to work with professional and which contains some vital and useful controls and features that enable effective communication and even to an extent of data storage. Such e-mail clients also serve as a platform for sending collective announcements and meeting reminders to particular recipients. However, password protected these e-mail clients do not have much in store when it comes to managing work and hence Barca 2.1 has been launched that works as a powerful e-mail program as well as a task planner.
Barca sports a neatly organized interface with colorful hues to display different components. The top panel contains the main controls and the left pane shows the categories and folders through which content and e-mails are accessed. The right pane shows the contact list assorted clearly as work and personal contacts. The program provides a single platform to manage and integrate multiple functions that includes planning and scheduling tasks and appointments and managing the project activities. The notes and diaries feature makes it easy to store information in a convenient fashion and the e-mail engine offers flexible and fresh approach to navigate through with new possibilities for accessing new e-mails and managing multiple e-mail accounts as well. The search feature of the program runs scripts to process messages and collects and stores links and also offers varied HTML support.
To conclude, Barca 2.1 most definitely comes across as a program to reckon with for its elaborate and multifaceted working and hence gets a rating of four points for its impressive performance.
